PTCB Eligibility Requirements
Do you want PTCB certification ?
- Residing in the United States of America (US) or one of its territories.
- The completion of an Education/Training program recognized by the PTCB or equivalent experience
- Disclosure of criminal actions and State Board of Pharmacy Registration or Licensure.
- All applicable PTCB Certification Policies
- The passing score for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE ).
For a candidate to be eligible for the PTCE they must have completed one of two paths:
Pathway 1. A Education/Training program recognized by the PTCB (or completed within 60 days after application submission).
Pathway 2. Equivalent Work Experience As a Pharmacy Technician (min. 500 hours). * The alternative secondary pathway is for experienced technicians that are not able to enroll in PTCB recognized programs.
* At the time of applying, 500 hours should have been completed.
